I am a Light Painter

I never use Photoshop .. This is all Lightpainting Photography !

I am a factory worker living in north east england and discovered Light Art late in 2012 after purchasing a large telescope and Nikon DSLR to capture the night sky. Whilst researching astrophotography tecniques and trying my hand at daytime photos i found a video on youtube called "light warfare" - this was my first glimpse of the power of light art and a great inspiration to start in my opinion

I have been addicted ever since, and am trying to form a group here in the United Kingdom called LPUK just for british lighters to meet and exchange ideas and much more ...

My favourite works from my own light art are well organised in my albums .. so check them out ! :)

My inspiration has been mostly from my LPUK buddies, also my Flickr contacts, LightPaintingPhotography.com, Lightpaint.com, Noctography.co.uk, longexposures.co.uk, lightpainting.org.uk and the Facebook Lightpainting groups :)

if i seem to have copied anyone's "style" in LP then to them i would say this;

there is only so many ways you can wave a torch ...

no Lightpainting is ever the same; just as one pic of a bird is not the original version of a pic of the same bird 2 seconds later ... it's everyone's light

and we all inspire each other to further greatness

i love it when people use my ideas - it just pushes me further ...

Light lets us see the world; without it there is no colour or definition of shape, no concept of time, no history or future. Without light we do not exist

Spread the Light my friends, and make a brighter world for us all !
