most of the images in my photostream began as digital photographs and (if altered to some degree) have been processed, edited, manipulated, and/or enhanced using GIMP 2.8. i don't have any official training, experience or quality photography equipment (currently: a partially functioning Polaroid i1037). i DO have expressed permission to freely use the very few of these photographs which i have not taken myself.

this account stemmed from my work trying to teach myself to use GIMP in my free time, which is the reason for the somewhat disconnected variety of images in my photostream. i experiment with a little bit of everything in order to learn as much as possible. so far the results are hit or miss, but i like to think that overall i'm improving. any input would be greatly appreciated.

there is no iphoneography or instagram here. i do not use any form of artistic/creative app. all effects have been created using GIMP 2.8 tools, layers, filters, etc... for anyone interested in viewing the original, pre-GIMPed photographs, they are all available upon request, as are the step-by-step edits made to most of them.
