From the UK, and in my twenties.

I’m not brilliant about talking or in this case writing “about me” bios. But guess if you are reading this you are intrigued in my background.

So who is Jasmine Murray and what’s her background, you might be asking?

I hail for the windy and inevitably rainy country of the United Kingdom (which probably explains an awful lot in regards to my work anyway…)

Before I took up the career choice of photography in 2011 I had been intending on pursuing a career in Media/Journalism, however even before I chose photography as a career move I had always been enamored with the arts and photography. From a young age of two I had a toy camera before moving on to a fisher-price camera at the age of three, given to me by my grandparents. Since three I have been constantly taking photograph’s as a hobby (most of my childhood involved using slr film camera’s, in particular a Praktica BX20, but in my teen years I switched to Olympus digital SLR’s). My main sources of inspiration for picking up the camera, are my grandfather’s national service photograph’s which feature India culture in the 1940s. I also source inspiration from my other family member’s who also have an interest in Photography, though that’s mostly me borrowing their equipment, much to their dismay (sorry dad). In 2011 I started my college course and have never looked back gaining distinction*, distinction*, distinction in my 2 year BTEC ED in Photography. In 2015 I completed my HND in Photography with a disctinction, since then I have been challenging my practice via a series of Project 52 (a photo a week)

You might recognize me, as I featured several times in my dad's 365 though only once did my face feature.
