Hello!!
I am from Lahore - a city that has no parallel. Lived my initial 20 years in Lahoe, studied at the great GC (now GCU) -and then have been out of Lahore for earning my bread and butter. But I do come back for a day or too to walk out those places I once walked through and do not forget to eat "Shahi Murgh Channay" in front of old Odeon cinema which once screened quality English movies.
I am a self taught photographer, mainly interested in nature, old buildings and flowers. I have been shooting with a manual SLR camera for quite a long time. Then I switched over to Panasonic handycam with VGA pics but good zoom (x800 digital zooms). My passion is to shot distant objects or very close ones, portraits and macro, for which I need zoom.Recently I have switched over to MP camera (Sony DSC H2) with 12 x optical and 52 x digital zooms. This is enough to quench my thirst for zoom and macro. Now I wanna add a wide angle and telelense for more crisper and wider views. Being a novice, one may not find my results impressive, but am trying to learn more to put up aesthetically heavy shots.

I have recently joined flickr and saw phtographic work of jalalHB and it really inspired me. The themes and the captions are so matching and instant that one loves to see each image in detail. The images on his mother and his tribute to her is really absorbing and moving. The diversity in choosing subjects and objects is also great - from nature to objects and old buildings and castles - everything just fits in right for a great phtographer (in the making though). Another thing about jalalspages is the number of albums, each catering for different subjects - perhaps no parallel in the flcikr. The images in these albums, specially the masterpiece album which are invited by jalalHB himself, speak of his aesthetic sense and eye for the best of the best. Hope to see still better phtographic marvels in future. Best of luck
