Fed up with photograph albums that were never opened and running out of wall space, I started uploading to Flickr in 2008. There are now (June 2026) more than 17,000 photographs on the site and about 100 short videos - arranged in over 1100 albums. Collectively they have been viewed more than 3.3 million times - and, currently, the view count can be as high as 30,000/month.
Click on 'Albums' just below my name to navigate the site in a sort-of chronological order - or do a word search using the box at the top of the home page. The photographs range from scans of old 35mm negatives to current pictures shot on a variety of digital cameras and a medium format Hasselblad film camera. The images from Warwick Univeristy (1973-1976) - including many photographs taken for the student newspaper "The Warwick Boar" seem to attract the most attention. I've been retired since December 2020, after editing TV drama/comedy for 40+ years. Freelance, but mostly for the BBC ("Call the Midwife", "Miranda", "Motherland", "Jonathon Creek" and "Ab Fab" etc.)
Lina and I moved to Brighton in September 2023 - as empty-nesters to two grown-up children (Sam and Rosie) who live nearby with their partners Zanna and Chris. In 2025 we welcomed grandsons Fionn and Jonah.
