I am a self taught artist and mostly go by the brush name Jaishi. Which is basically the first three letters of my last and the first three letters of my first name put together. I wanted a name that would stand out. You know like Oprah, Madonna, Jaishi.

Anyway, I have been painting and drawing ever since I was a fetus. No, seriously! I have a copy of the ultrasound and in my right nub I'm holding a number 2 Royal soft grip brush and in my left nub I'm holding a tube of ultramarine blue. Okay, so maybe I'm exagerating a little but like most artists, I have been creating art since I was a child.

I love to paint, to create. It's the perfect escape for me. Art has become my creative freedom, my visual articulation; for without it I would not be able to communicate and would forever remain silent.
