Hobbyist photographer enjoying retirement. I've been interested in photography for too many years however today I enjoy it more than ever. I run two systems, Nikon for sport and Fujifilm for all other genres although I do occasionally use my Fuji kit for some sporting activities. My Nikon system is based around a D500 and D7200, while the Fuji kit includes a Fuji XT2, XT1 and an XE1. All three are great cameras and they have their particular uses but I'm not a Fuji fan boy, at least I don't think so. Despite my preference for mirrorless cameras, the D500 is for me the finest sports camera available today at my price point but next year, 2020, who knows as all could change? I've been shooting sport for approximately six years now, predominantly concentrating on cricket and rugby union. I am the official volunteer photographer for both Melbourne RUFC and Melbourne Town Cricket club, areas that occupy a considerable part of my hobby time and give me great pleasure. Viewing and hearing the banter between players that my photos can cause is a real joy and fun. I'm here on Flickr to be inspired and learn from others.
