I'm originally from America, but home base these days is Brisbane, Australia. Never one to stay still for long, my life has taken me many places on this amazing planet. But only recently have I begun to explore it through the camera's lens.

So I began taking photographs for a living. I come from a theatrical background so drama often plays a role in my images... whether it's lighting or gesture or graphic elements... But it's always about telling the story, first and foremost.

Tom Waits once described bassist Les Claypool as having an "elastic, rubberized, plasticene approach" to his instrument... I like that.

To me, a truly successful image offers viewers a chance to explore something deeper within themselves.
