I’ve tinkered in photography for a few years thanks to my husband. I partnered up with him and started out in automotive photography. He started me out with a Canon Rebel XT, which turned out to be our first DSLR camera. Since then I’ve slowly been upgrading with a variety of his hand-me-down equipment as well as my own. We miss our Rebel because it taught us so much about photography. As a comparison, my husband likes to say “The best modification you can make to a car is behind the driver’s seat.” It was a hard lesson to learn. It did however cement my determination to always keep learning, because it reflects in the quality of my work.

I have since dabbled with landscapes, animals, macro and public events. I haven’t quite found my niche, but I certainly want to try my hand at photographing people. I keep telling myself that one of these days I will take a formal/official photography class. Until then, it’s any easy accessible material I can get my hands on.
