Hi guys, just a fair warning. As of late I've noticed a funny situation that I don't quite like: I receive a message saying that Flickr user XXXX has added me as a contact; I take a look at his/her photos, I like them and start following XXXX back; hours/days/weeks later, I receive another message saying that Flickr user XXXX is following me back. That is, XXXX followed, unfollowed and once more followed me. Since, by nature, I'm slightly bent towards the evil-minded side, I gather that what is happening is just that XXXX says: "I'm going to find myself a few new contacts by adding a bunch of people and then deleting them. That way they will learn of my existence and, perhaps, start following me". So, since I don't like this done to me, and since there seems to be quite a few XXXXs on Flickr, I've been doing this for a time: when I receive a message saying someone is following me back, I check who started following who. If I see that we are in the event I just described, I will immediately unfollow that person.

Hola a todos, he observado que últimamente me ha sucedido en varias ocasiones una cosa bastante curiosa: recibo una notificación diciéndome que la persona XXXX me está siguiendo; le hecho un vistazo a sus fotos, me gustan y le sigo; días después recibo una notificación diciendo que la persona XXXX me está siguiendo también. Es decir, que me han agregado, borrado y comenzado a seguir de nuevo. Como soy mal pensado, la explicación que se me ocurre es que cuando me comenzaron a seguir lo hicieron sólo por llamar mi atención e intentar conseguir un seguidor más (imagino que lo harán con más gente). Así que hace un tiempo tomé una decisión: cuando recibo un aviso diciendo que alguien me está siguiendo también (implicando que yo ya le seguía), lo primero que hago es comprobar quién comenzó a seguir a quién. Si nos encontramos en la situación que describí arriba, dejaré de seguir a esa persona.
