I was sitting in a cafe in Birmingham recently, and saw an amazing image in front of me. I desperately wanted to commit this image to film, or card as it is now, but of course, I didn't have a camera on me. How frustrating is that?

After giving up photography about 10-12 years ago I find I have come full circle now and am slowly getting back into this new world of digital images.

I like the idea of recording an instant in time - a fraction of a second that unless you press the shutter - will be gone forever. Am I a romantic or mad?

Edit: Well I'm stunned. I have been looking around the site, the 100 Stranger group to be exact, and I'm in complete awe of the quality there. I can only hope I will one day match up to the kind of skill displayed there.
