A digital collection of photos, ephemera and memorabilia from Jackson High School (1912-1984), Jackson Unified School District, Jackson, Amador County, California; Home of the 'Fighting Tigers' and the 'Pride of the Mother Lode'.

Jackson Joint Union High School opened in January 1912 when the first classes met in a vacant classroom at the Jackson Elementary School campus. A new Jackson Union High School campus opened about 1913 at School Heights (211 Rex Avenue) in Jackson.

At the end of the 1975-1976 school year, Jackson High School and Junior High School exchanged campuses. Thus, Jackson High School moved from 211 Rex Avenue to 501 Argonaut Lane, Jackson, California and opened at the Argonaut Lane campus in the Fall of 1976.

Jackson High School merged with Ione High School in 1984 to form the present school called Argonaut High School. The name of the school, mascot and school colors were all changed and the newly merged schools used the Jackson High School campus on Argonaut Lane in Jackson.
