Inspired by the great gardens of England, especially Sissinghurst, Hatfield, Great Dixter, Hidcote and Beth Chatto, I spent 35 years creating a garden, now in new, young and creative hands. My garden, on a small farm where we grow pine trees, totals about 6 hectares (20 acres) along the course of a stream.
