Hi there

I'm a born and bred Liverpudlian who loves watching football, Sci-fi stuff, reading books (fiction), writing books (again fiction), climbing hills and taking photographs. I'm a keen supporter of Liverpool F.C and Dundee F.C, which I try to watch them play as much as I can. I moved to Scotland in 1994 when I was 22 and I enjoy learning French and hope to become fluent as it is my ambition to tour around France and experience the culture, as well as walking, climbing and exploring the area.

I'm very keen to learn how I can make my photographs better, and I welcome any constructive advice as long as it is meant in a kind way. I feel that my photo stream reflects how my photographs have changed from when I first found my passion of photography and how I've upgraded the cameras over the years.

Initially, I was using my husband's camera, the Kodak 4530, which I got some fab effects with (especially macro). I then went on to playing about with his Fujifinepix S9500, got some fabulous shots and won an award on a hillwalking site which included my pictures and a walk report.

Now I've moved on to the Nikon D3200 and having so much fun with it, especially with the 300 lens it came with. I do feel I need help using the 300 lens as well as the usual 55 and so welcome getting some constructive criticism either on here or out on a meetup. I don't do landscape photos (i don't think I'm very good) and really want to work on it. I'll be sticking with this camera for a long while now as I still have so much to learn and am very comfortable with it.

I've inherited my late husband's cameras including a D90, and various lens. There's other Nikons but I'm not very familiar with those as they look very big and intimidating to me!

I don't mind you using any of my photographs (copyrighted me), but could you please ask first (including which links my photos will be shown on), just so I know who's using them and for what.

Update...October 2016.

I bought another camera which I'm having fun with. Its a Sony Exmor 20.4 Mega pixels with an optical zoom of 30 and an F number of 3.5-6/4.3-129. I bought it a few months ago and have taken loads of photos, especially when out walking as its a lot lighter than my D32. I will upload pictures when I get a spare few minutes. I'm still trying to figure out how the camera works as it has the usual settings (M, A & S etc) as well as some pretty nifty other settings. I'll upload the best ones as soon as I can.
