I am a full-preterist Christian.
If you don't know what that means, look it up on Wikipedia. Their description is fairly accurate.
I am convinced that Jesus' 2nd Coming occured in AD70 when Jerusalem and the temple were captured by Roman General Titus. Jesus said "that not one stone of the temple would be left upon another" and that His and His disciples' generation would be the one that would witness it (Matt 24). He also told His disciples that some of them would still be alive to witness his return in Matt 16:26. His disciples equated the destruction of the temple with His "2nd Coming at the beginning of Matthew 24. He told His disciples in Matt 19:28 "...That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel." Not the entire globe that today's Christians have been conditioned to believe.
Most full preterists are Calvinists. I am not a Calvinist. I have had discussions with many of them and have met some "leaders" :^) face-to-face.
Calvinists believe (been conditioned to believe) that ever since Adam sinned, sin in man is inherent. That even a fetus is filled with sin. That a newborn is full of sin. It's a conclusion of their "Total Depravity" in man doctrine. Man is born totally depraved from birth, even while in the womb. The "sovereignty of God" also plays an important part in this because Calvinists do not want to deny the sovereignty of God- "God is in complete control of everything." It's true, I believe, that God could control absolutely everything in His universe, including us mere humans. But I don't think that is the case; not with us humans anyway. He gave us a free-will. A free-will to choose between good or bad, right or wrong, left or right, up or down, fried or boiled, rare or burned, Him or not,....
There are differences in opinion within the preterists- how they've interpreted Scripture. I've met some who claimed to be preterists but later find out that they've adopted unBiblical doctrines such as annihilationism and universalism. They are, I believe giving preterism a bad name. And some claiming to be full-preterists switched to being partial-preterists, which to me, they might as well be futurists.
The "establishment" calvinist full-preterists are close, in my opinion, but have not won the cigar. I have learned a great deal from them, however, and I thank them for that. We still can get along without their Calvinism getting in the way.
I was raised in a religious household. My father was a Catholic but became a Lutheran, my mother's religion, when he married. So I was raised a Lutheran.
I am 3rd "generation" (i.e., Matthew 24:34) in the USA. My paternal grandparents were from Czechoslovakia and my maternal grandparents were from Transylvania which is part of Romania today. They came here after WWI (legally).
I am also convinced that there has been an ongoing Judaic attack on Christianity over the CENTURIES and this has managed to convince Christiandom that the events of AD70 WERE NOT THE 2ND COMING WHEN IN FACT IT REALLY WAS. With their assault on Christianity, they have managed, through their use of usury in their national banks that they have established throughout the world, to "gain the whole world" and set up their New World Order. Their kingdom is of this world. They have lost their souls and will not inherit God's Kingdom.
I believe God's Kingdom, New Jerusalem, WAS established in AD70:
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea [It's a new heaven and a new earth because the old heaven came down to earth~ a duality here: "earth" being the globe AND "earth" being Israel... a "new earth (globe)" and a "new earth (Israel)"- so that God's Kingdom is on earth (the globe) and has replaced the "old Israel" with the "new Israel" making it the new globe and the new Israel- the "Israel of God" Paul mentions in Galatians 6: 16; no more sea- no more expanse dividing the earth into seperate, individual nations; ALL the peoples of the new earth are welcome to become citizens of New Jerusalem; it's up to each individual to make the choice of overcoming the world by believing in and having faith in Jesus Christ; if one makes that choice, he/she will inherit New Jerusalem].
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away [no more death in that instead of waiting in Hades (aka, the grave, Sheol, Abraham's Bosom) when a believer physically dies, his/her soul inherits New Jerusalem and goes directly to it and becomes a citizen of it FOREVER].
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done [the "Mystery of God" has been completely fulfilled]. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh [this world through their belief and their faith in Jesus Christ] shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. [the second death, i.e., the second "grave" of which there is no escape]
And on the lighterside

Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2001
I can honestly say that I believe my MS is a blessing. It has changed my life around for the better. It has brought me closer to God. It has given me more time to study His Word. It has made me look deep into myself and where I was headed before I was diagnosed. I was headed down the wrong path. Concerned about making money. Making the big bucks was more of a concern than being right with God. I was the fertile soil in the Parable of the Sower but the Seed was being choked by all the tares, the concerns I had of this world. And money was just one of many of those concerns I had.
I've noticed improvement in my MS over the last year. I believe it's because I have been making an effort to turn from my sinful ways more instead of holding on to them. A "renewing of my mind" and a renewing of my thought process. I have to continually turn from my sin and focus on the heavenly instead of on the worldly. It's hard to do for me sometimes. Worldly thoughts want to creep into my mind.
I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about.
I just thank God that He has been so patient with me. He has given me more than an ample amount of time to straighten myself out.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. We must fear Him because not only can He destroy our bodies, but He can destroy our souls and throw them into Hell, the lake of fire.
That's how I see it. I'm not guarenteed a pass into New Jerusalem because I had a "born-again" experience a long time ago.
Jesus said
"And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.'- Matthew 10:22
Jesus told THAT generation of believers that if they didn't endure to the end of the TRIBULATION that was coming upon them in the not too distant future, i.e., accepting the mark of the beast (Rev 13), then not only would they lose the salvation of their souls, they would not be "raptured" and would be exposed to the wrath of God that was coming upon the twelve tribes of Israel and their temple in Jerusalem.
Today, however, this can be interpreted and applied to us believers as: If I don't endureth to the end of my earthly life and therefore do not "overcome this world" and return to my sin like a dog returns to its vomit, I will not inherit New Jerusalem. I will inherit the lake of fire.
There were the "fearful", the "cowardly" Christians (mentioned in Rev 21:8) of the 1st century who did not endure to the end of the tribulation, (they feared for their physical lives). And "because iniquity [abounded], the love of many [waxed] cold" (Mt 24:12). Therefore THEY did not inherit God's Kingdom.
Today, if we are cowardly and fearful, and/or if we are unbelieving, and/or abominable, and/or a murderer, and/or a whoremonger, and/or a sorcerer, and/or an idolater, and/or a LIAR, we shall have our part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone and not inheret God's Kingdom.
