I just met this girl like a few days ago... well not in person but i saw her photos on flickr for the very first time and all i saw was AMAZINGLY BREATHTAKING ♥ she's a creative and emotive photographer, this is the reason why i love flickr because photographers like her are a great inspiration to us, the ones that don't have much creativity! Jessica is an amazing girl with a big heart, i am 110% sure that she will become a graceful woman, successful in all aspects of her life. more people like her should exist in this world, im not sure if i said that right but i guess you know what i mean Jessica! Jessie combines poetry and images. She exposes her soul in a certain kind of nakedness where she becomes a single drop of rain; a bubble; a dream.. While at other times one can feel a storm rising; a tree in the snow; a desire; a longing to be a butterfly. She gives me the feeling that she searches through her solitude the centre of her being...especially, when she titles her last shot saying "i'm ridiculous ". Yet ,behind her is a poster on the wall asking you to "free your mind"!!! Here is where i recognise her as a talented young artist. I love her photos on nature __ the lines ,the light and the stillness . I also love her set of autoportraits --- behind her teenage look there is an ancient soul questioning Existance.. have known Jess for what must be coming up to a year now. At the start I know she was getting very frustrated with a tutor who would dislike a photo unless it conformed to the sort of rules that would have every photo being some kind of boring lifeless shot. Despite that she's carried on doing what she liked. Her latest stuff has given me a problem in that its good, gritty and real arty and I didnt do it! Would like to know the sources of inspiration! Part of me wishes to still have the teenage angst and search for my own voice but I don't and instead I have to get frustrated at seeing in how such a short time Jess has leapt so far, just hope she keeps up with it.
