I’ve been taking photos ever since I can remember, but those were just snapshots, I only received my DSLR camera, as a Christmas gift, a few years back. Coincidentally, during those holidays a mutual friend introduced me to Joey, at a New Years’ Eve party. At that time he was this random guy who needed a “real camera” to take a picture. I was so worried that he was going to break my new camera, but our mutual friend said, “Don’t worry! He’s good. Just watch!” I still have that picture Joey took. I’m sure it will be worth millions in a few years, but like I would ever sell it though! Ever since that New Year’s Eve party, I have been hooked to Joey’s photos. Every time I come to his Flickr page, I just adore the variety of things he photographs, be it his friends, nature, the city, macro, even random strangers. Whatever it is, he can photograph anything and make it look interesting and beautiful. Even just looking at all his photos, as a collective mosaic – they are just gorgeous! Joey has a gift, and moreso he doesn’t shoot photos for the glory of getting that ‘next big shot’, he just shoots because he likes to. Although he posts photos in a painfully slow pace, the wait is worth it – I’m an addict to his stream!
