I've loved photographs all my life. The camera always went with us on family holidays and it was so exciting setting up the projector weeks later to view the slides.

I've dabbled over the years with photography but have only taken to it more seriously over the past 10 years. Merv bought me a little Canon compact digital and a lovely old Olympus Trip which really sparked my interest. At Christmas 2011,he bought me my Panasonic Lumix G3 which I've found to be the perfect digital camera for me. With the purchase of Roger, my gorillapod tripod, I decided to start the 52 weeks project. A self portrait, every week this year. Thanks to Ron and Ronet for encouraging me to do this. I've learnt so much from it and above all, am now comfortable in my own skin.

As to what I photograph, I take what I love. 'What the eye sees - the camera sees.' I don't tend to do much post processing to my images, but I do love black and white so you may see a few of those in my collections. At the end of March 2020, we finally realised our dream of moving to Beautiful Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland. With it, has come many more wonderful photographic opportunities. And I now have my Panasonic G9 with its fabulous leica lens!
