The Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA) is a national association for co-operatives in Canada, representing more than nine million co-operative and credit union members.

2012 is the International Year of Co-operatives, as proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2009. The year gives co-operatives and their supporters 366 days to raise awareness about co-ops in Canada and around the world.
