I've been passionate about photography ever since my dad let me try his camera when I was about 6 years old. During that time, every time I could I would experiment but it took careful thought as at the time all we had was film cameras. I still remember the shape and feel of that camera in my hands, it as a Minolta X something and recently I found another one of those in a street market in London (picture somewhere in here).
That camera is gone now... lost in some storage of a landlord that does not remember where it is. Ever since, I've moved from Portugal to the UK and have been playing mostly with Canon DSLR cameras. But recently something happened... I've realised that some times the best camera is the one you have when something completely unexpected happens. I still love and use my DSLR but it is massive and I'm not carrying it everyday. That is why some pictures started showing up here that I took with a phone. Interestingly I found I could get much closer to objects with a phone than I ever could with my DSLR. One such example is of a frozen pea on a wall (somewhere also in here).
