Engineer by education and photographer by passion. I remember all the cameras I have had. With a Kodak Instamatic I took a first picture of my parents when I was 7 years old, it was helpful to arise to the concept that "you need to get close to the subject". Then it came a Zenith E (famous Russian copy of Leica), that at some point got useless after a fail attempt to discover its internal mechanism. An Olympus OM10 was my first modern SLR , together with a motor and a tele, by this time I had started to develop b&w at home. At that point I met a Nikon F301 with a zoom that I used extensively in trips all over the world, this camera survived a nice plunge into the Atlantic Sea, most of my shots by this time were slides. In a trip to Switzerland I discover digital photography, buying a Kodak P850 (Schneider lense), nice 4 Mp camera that opened a new world for me. Then a Panasonic FZ30 with Leica lense increased features but did not survive this time a plunge into a Czech lake. Having abandon definitively film, I came back to Nikon, first with a D60, rapidly replaced by a D5000, and then by a D7000, a precious creature, now in companion of a spectacular D800
