One thing people should know about my portraits (especially my self-portraits) is that they are not meant to portray myself. I am an actor, playing different roles. I am in no way reproducing what I can see with my own eyes in the real world. This is a product of imagination, and I am creating a new world through different concepts. Art is beyond what we call reality, there would be no point in creating art if it weren't so.
