Cake decorating is an art like no other. It is ephemeral and almost completely dependent upon the tastes of our clients. It is my opinion that if you put a design out there on the web, you have to expect it to be copied.

I have no problem with anyone replicating my designs; many of them were inspired by other artists in turn. Credit is nice, especially when you are making a direct copy of the design.

Photo theft on the other hand, is not acceptable. This is why I watermark so aggressively. Don't take my photo (or anyone else's!) and call it your own work. Don't put it on your web site with a microscopic note about it being "inspiration" Don't blame your web designer when you get called out. You like the design? FINE! Make your own version of it.

First of all thanks a zillion for the nice compliment about my chocolate roses and I checked out your work and is great too. I love the most the bass cake. It is totally cute and creative and done perfectly. Keep up the great work. The chocolate rose lady. Lisa Delfava. Preciousmetalrose@yahoo.com
