The Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to advancing the research, development and deployment of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to improve the nation’s surface transportation network.

Founded in 1991 as a Federal Advisory Committee to the United States Department of Transportation (U.S. DOT) and now operating as a 501(c)3 nonprofit association, ITS America’s membership includes more than 450 organizations comprised of public agencies, private sector companies, and research institutions. ITS America’s 27 State Chapter’s represent across 40 states and more than 1200 member organizations.
