If you really want to hear about it, the first thing you'll probably want to know is where I was born, and what my lousy childhood was like, and how my parents were occupied and all before they had me, and all that David Copperfield kind of crap, but I don't feel like going into it, if you want to know the truth. - The Catcher in the Rye, J.D. Sallinger
I have always loved that book.
Well I am very imperfect perfectionist freak. I am always dissecting, studying and cataloguing everything, and everybody. Consider yourself warned. :-)
Also, I am mildly dislexic, so, take it easy with the rants about my spelling, ok?
Back in the late 80's (my last "UHSians" days) and early 90's I was very involved into the amateur photography thing. You know the type, one of those nerds, always walking around with a camera around the neck; spending hours inside a dark room shaking little stainless steel drums full of funny smelling chemicals. I started with a borrowed Canon AE-1 Prog, then I "inherited" old Pentax K-1000 (from an family friend) which eventually surrendered to a brand new Pentax P-3 (the first one I bought with my own money). Less than a year later the P3 died (unknown causes) and was replaced by a Canon A-1 (still one of the best ever made, IMHO). In college I hooked up with a model-babe which kinda clicked with my photography hobbie. That we were both really crazy at the time, was a plus, not a catalyzer (as some still think). We really enjoyed our time together and almost got married. However, it was not meant to be, and we split up (long story, but I was at fault). The photography bug sorta went with her (the fact that the trusty A-1 got soaked in sea water did not help, I guess).
Anyway, so almost 10 years later, I got interested again, and bought a cheap digital camera (Toshiba PDR-M4). I had had other digital cameras before (namely Canon S10 and Casio QV-100), but they were more toys, than serious photographic devices. The Toshiba cheapo-digi woke up my old passion for photography, which eventually "forced" me to make the jump to DSLR's (Olympus E-300, E-510, and E-520) and now high-quality compact (like the Stylus One). Will probably be making the jump to ILC's pretty soon.
Oops, I think I got little carried away with this description thing . . . :-)

Mr. Isma and I don't see eye to eye most of the time, and we have clashed furiously in the past. However, I have always thought of him as a very intelligent individual, one which is always ready to set the record straight with his expertise in pretty much anything and a knack for writing awesome testimonials.
