Melanie, a Travel, Nature, and Military Photographer, is the creator of BodhiKai Imagery. Her ultimate goal is to bring the innate world of Wanderlust and Adventure Travel, and the beauty of Natural Landscapes and Wildlife Photography to you from her lens.

BodhiKai Imagery is an Award Winning Photography Brand that has been featured in a variety of international publications to include Hawaii Magazine, CNN, CBS, Frommer's Travel, Army Spouse Magazine, The L.A. Times, and The Guardian UK. Recently CBS has commissioned her work to appear in the series run of Hawaii Five 0. BodhiKai Imagery has also written several travel guides while living in South Korea.

Melanie currently runs a full time photography business which also includes photography bootcamps, workshops, and mentoring. She is active in the local art community, and has work appearing in several art shows happening in 2012, and 2013. She volunteers her free time with the United States Army, and is a historian for the 2-4 Infantry Battalion, and writes travel guides for the Fort Polk Guardian Newspaper. Staying true to her roots, and continues to freelance for several publications both nationally and internationally, all while working on her photography books that should be released in later 2012.

Though she is a Chicago Native, her roots run deep in Hawaii. Melanie is a United States Air Force Veteran and and United States Army Spouse, and currently resides in Western Louisiana with her husband, daughters, and Westie, Bodhi.
