Sunday Feast Open House at Plainfield, New Jersey
Every Sunday, a simple hall becomes a temple. The love and devotion of the devotees, and the decorated presence of Krishna, positively transform the place. Once the activities begin you are transported to the spiritual world.
There is an enchanting and purifying arati (worship) and kirtana (devotional song). Everyone participates, singing and dancing hand in hand. The Krishna-katha (speaking ofthe Lord) and discussion is absorbing as it is instructive. The Krishna Kids Vedic Sunday School is so popular that many parents ‘have to’ come for the kids’ sake!
Devotees of all ages join together in groups singing for the Lord and playing classical instruments while joyfully dancing to the music. Yet the atmosphere is prayerful and respectful. A delicious pure vegetarian feast of prasadam (sanctified food) is served to one and all – always plenty, always wonderful.
The Center offers a respite from a taxing week at home or work; for many it’s also a fun day for their kids. Join us and see what the Center can offer you! Please join us with your friends and family for our weekly program, and afterwards enjoy a scrumptious pure vegetarian feast.
The program is free of charge and open to all.
