September 2014 I have now retired from working but not from life , so lots to do and places to go ,the new adventure begins

I live in Sheffield England, I am married and have two sons. I find Flickr very useful for storing and it’s a quick access to my photos. my previous career of which i did since 1971 was that of an Architectural Ironmonger (hinges lock door closers signs pull handles etc), I prepared schedules from floor plan for Architects and Construction companies to DDA and Fire Regulation Standard, sounds boring but I have always found it interesting being involved and influencing design on many major project all over the UK.

I apologise in advance if I comment on your photo by way of a Poem I have written and inspired by your photo, this is just my way of complementing your work.

All my Poems are inspired and written for Flickr photos and occasionally re-used as a comment on other appropriate photos

If you like my photos please look through my sets as I tend to post photos in large batches as sets and therefore do not get many comments on them but some are worth a look if the subject interests you

Ironmonger says:

the plants and the trees and the rocks of all kind

from the wide open spaces to the lanes that do wind

to the ships on the sea to the planes in the air

the free life of men may be limited by wealth
