She is a graduate student of Specialized Journalism at USC Annenberg School. She graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor degree in Liberal Arts. She worked for Fast Track, a student newscast at Purdue, as a student journalist and producer. While at Purdue, she also started Tippecanoe Video Archive with her Professor Doug Osman, to film the interviews with the local elderlies. She is from Anhui China. She had a summer internship with Anhui Television Station in 2013, and an internship with Beijing TV in 2014. She loves being a journalist, meeting different people, and telling stories via her camera and voices. She is also interested in filming, designing and anthropology. In the future, Xinyi wants to become a broadcasting journalist and to travel around the world working with people from different cultures.
