I joined Flickr in September 2009 and one of the first shots that absolutely mesmerized me was done by Irina...she calls it "On Fire" -- this beautiful shot stood out among all the others when I saw it in a group pool. From there, I added Irina as a contact...and now she has become a treasured friend to me. She is always kind, so supportive of my efforts and I love her humor. She is humble and always reaches for the stars with her incredible photography. She supports my efforts and she makes my day when she comments on my photos. Although we are thousands of miles apart, she is a real presence in my life. Her work, which has a beautiful "dream-like" quality is superb and has influenced my photography. She is abstract...I am concrete, but it's a great combination when it comes influencing each other. She is so very special to me and I'm very lucky to know her and hope we are friends for many years to come!
