I joined Flickr in November 2008 and find that it's an ongoing learning experience and a labour of love! Painting, soapstone sculpture and photography were hobbies for many years and I loved them all, but now I concentrate on digital photography. I have thousands of photos since purchasing my first digital camera, an Olympus C50 (5 MP) in 2003. That first digital camera was such a great camera and I took some of my best photos with it. Years ago I used to both develop my own films and print the Black and White photos, including rolling my own film onto cartridges!

I GRADUATED IN ART HISTORY AND STUDIO ART FROM DOUGLASS COLLEGE OF RUTGERS UNIVERSITY IN NEW JERSEY, USA, after first attending & graduating from John Abbott College in Montreal in 2 years in Art but doing 3 years of work, including all phases, even welding! I then attended Concordia University in Montreal, enrolled in a BFA program. Due to transfer to USA, I graduated from Rutgers.

What I love most about Flickr are the wonderful friends that I've made through the many contacts. I am constantly inspired by the photos of others and feel honoured with some of their kind comments. I will continue to strive to take better images. As some of my photos have been picked up by other groups for their own projects, it makes belonging to Flickr all the more worth while. A BIG THANK YOU to all my Flickr Friends for your many kind comments and support.

NB: I Fav a lot of photos as I love many very much & it encourages photographers; sadly, however, SOME MEMBERS NEVER FAV or MAKE ANY COMMENTS. It is not an obligation, but it would be nice for those who work hard to make our Flickr Groups work well to also occasionally receive comments and faves. Maybe some persons feel that Moderators and Administrators should not be Fav'd (it is not against the rules), but we like to be Fav'd occasionally also.
