Welcome to my Flickr profile!

Inspired by a friend and the countless fantastic images on Flickr and other websites, I decided to get creative myself and in 2015, spontaneously and pretty much without informing myself, I bought my first own camera, an entry-level DSLR. Before that I didn't have any photographic experience besides the occasional snapshots with my mobile or a compact camera. I then taught myself all the basic things simply through "learning by doing" and a bit of reading on the internet. I like to be spontaneous and love variety, therefore I usually capture what I see by chance and find interesting or beautiful. I always strive to capture things in an artistic, sometimes abstract way, even though I'm not always successful at it, but that's the challenge that makes it interesting and exciting to me. I have developed a particular interest in old, derelict and abandoned things and places, just about anything that's left to the ravages of time. But I also love to capture God's creation in all its beautiful forms. Besides that, it could be anything that catches my eye.

I think that's all I need to tell about myself for now, but I'm always open to questions and nice discussions! :)

Willkommen auf meinem Flickr-Profil!

Inspiriert von einer Freundin sowie den vielen fantastischen Bildern auf Flickr und anderen Seiten, hatte ich es mir zum Ziel gesetzt, selbst kreativ zu werden und so habe ich mir 2015, spontan und ohne mich groß zu informieren, meine erste eigene Kamera, eine Einsteiger DSLR, gekauft. Davor hatte ich keine fotografische Erfahrung abgesehen von gelegentlichen Schnappschüssen bzw. Fotos von eher dokumentarischer Natur mit dem Handy oder einer Kompaktkamera. Ich habe mir dann alles durch "learning by doing" sowie ein wenig Nachlesen im Internet selbst beigebracht. Ich bin gerne spontan und mag Abwechslung, also halte ich für gewöhnlich einfach das fest, was ich, in der Regel zufällig, sehe und für interessant oder schön befinde. Ich strebe stets danach, die Dinge möglichst künstlerisch, manchmal abstrakt in Szene zu setzen, auch wenn mir das natürlich nicht immer gelingt, aber das ist die Herausforderung, die es interessant und spannend für mich macht. Ich habe ein spezielles Interesse für alte, verfallene und verlassen Dinge und Orte entwickelt, praktisch alles, das dem Zahn der Zeit überlassen wurde. Ich halte aber auch gerne Gottes Schöpfung in all ihrer schönen Form fest. Abgesehen davon kann es alles mögliche sein, das mir so ins Auge fällt.

Ich denke, das ist soweit alles, das ich über mich zu erzählen hätte. Ich bin jedoch immer gerne für Fragen und nette Diskussionen offen! :)
