Born and brought up in Gaya (better known for the Buddhist monasteries at Bodh-Gaya), I had my initial brush with photography, watching my father click the Sun temple at Konark with his Agfa Click-III.

It is in 2001 that I got serious about photography. By that time I owned a film-SLR camera, something that I used till 2008. Currently I use a Canon 40D.

An avid traveler and trekker, I love riding my Royal Enfield and wandering in the Himalayas, the Gangotri region (in Uttaranchal) being my favourite

I simply love to watch the Ganga coming out of the glacier’s sprout (known as Gaumukh).

A self taught photographer, I shoot almost everything that meets my eyes and excites my imagination However, the prospect of shooting people excites me the most as I find it extremely challenging.

Few of my works have appeared in magazines, on book covers and books. Kotler’s Marketing Management has quite a few of his photographs. Very recently, my few photographs, depicting a modern face of Mumbai has appeared in Mariam Dossal’s Theatre of Conflict City of Hope: Mumbai (2010, OUP, India).
