Congratulations, you have just landed upon the photostream of Intrepid Tripod, which is momentarily the best kept secret on flickr. I suspect that will not be the case for very long. Michael is painstakingly uploading his life's work of film photography taken with a variety of formats. His work is truly masterful, and when I view it, I am reminded that this is what real photography should be. Every single image is truly a work of art. Michael's talent lies with his ability to fill a frame with the perfect amount of information, nothing is overdone, nothing is omitted. The word that best describes his work is "rich". It is rich with depth, detail, tones, color, and texture. It always invites a closer look, and there is always more to be found. Although Michael can competently shoot all types of subjects, it is his landscapes that dominate his photostream and it is easy to see why, for he certainly has a deep connection to Nature that becomes obvious once you visit those images. You do not just view his landscapes, you feel them, you live them, you are there. This in my opinion, only comes from a deep innate understanding and awe of Nature. Now for the bonus, you will find Michael to be affable and possessed with a wicked sense of humor. What a delightful experience to discover such talent within a fun-loving and clever person!
