Ben Sykes is a dev / design hybrid with a focus on interaction (IxD), user experience (UX) and emotional design.

He always had a strong desire to tell stories, and eventually ended up in Hollywood where he worked in TV & film on such projects as Melrose Place, American Beauty, and Murder In The First.

In the mid 1990', he started a web design consultancy and has since worked on various projects with companies such as Warner Brothers Music, Artisan Entertainment and Digital Evolution just to name a few.

In 2003, he joined the Marine Corps Reserves and was deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon his return he continued to work with such companies as : Oversee.net, American Idol Underground, NSA, NASA, Oracle,Microsoft and Cisco Systems.

Other recent projects include : All For Good, StyledOn, Samesurf and YouSendit's shared workspace.

Ben Sykes currently lives in San Francisco where he works for Google. When he's not working, he's talking to returning veterans about PTSD, traveling to Spain / Ireland or out taking photos.
