I’ve been photographing for over 40 years, and just saying that out loud shocks me because it makes me come to grips with the fact that I am no longer in the spring of my life. Indeed, it is late summer and there is so much yet to do and see and experience!

I am fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful areas of the States—the Pacific Northwest, with it’s lush green forests, rushing waterfalls, rugged coastlines, and on the other side of the Cascade Range, the serene and stark deserts of the high plateaus.

My images will no doubt be seen as eclectic and I will admit that I simply photograph that which inspires me at the time, so I tend to be “all over the place” in terms of subject matter. But, if I might be so bold, I think the overall theme in my work is the sublime beauty to be found and experienced in nature.
