Hi everyone!

I loved photography all my life and after having pined for a dSLR for years whilst using an Olympus compact, i received a Canon 400D for my 40th birthday last month!

I'm a complete newbie to all of this! I'm still trying to learn all the functions of the camera, let alone trying to get to grips with photoshop! I aspire to get to the point where i can be creative enough to be able to produce images like some of the stunning work that i've seen on Flickr!

Absolutely any advice, comments, criticisms, help of any kind would be so gratefully received. What groups should i join? Can anyone help me out with lenses? Any tips etc. gladly received :o)
