Inspired after a sidecar trip to the Great Wall with our partner in Beijing over six years ago, Shanghai branch opened business one year later in 2007 and sidecars were soon seen cruising the charming tree-lined streets of the former French Concession or spotted in front of Shanghai’s hidden Art Deco treasures. After we received so much positive feedback and noticed an increasing demand for more; we opened another branch in Lijiang (Yunnan province) and one in Xi’an in 2012. Both branches offer half to full day tours in their surrounding countryside. In addition, we offer one to four week standard and tailor-made expeditions in vintage jeeps and sidecars throughout China.

Over the years Insiders has been featured on two front covers of Le Guide du Routard (world’s leading French travel guidebook) and has been recommended across 38 countries by prominent media such as CNNgo, TIME magazine, Condefast Traveler, Vogue, National Geographic Traveller and ELLE Magazine.
