I bought my first digital SLR in August 2007. I had to sell my motorcycle to get it, but it was well worth the sacrifice. Since then, I've been taking photos like any person would with a Point-&-Shoot camera (no thought put into it). Only recently (August 2009) have I started thinking about my photos, the composition, the contrast and background, and finally the post-processing.

I sold my dSLR gear and now I rock a Panasonic Lumix DMC LX-5 point & shoot camera. I don't find that stepping down to a smaller camera hinders my abilities. Update:I have since reacquired a Nikon D90 to continue my photography.

Photography is not my only hobby, which means it always has to compete with others. But come winter, photography is the only thing I can actually work on.
