Twenty-Something, Girlfriend, Veterinary Technician, Photographer, Blogger, Aspiring Chef.

Kait is a photographer with over 10 years of professional experience. She has a passion for animals which led her to take a break from her photography business to become a veterinary technician. Now she is able to combine both her love of photography and animals and this respect for each shows in her photos.

Trained in traditional black and white film development, Kait now uses digital photography (for lack of a darkroom). She has a special interest in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom as well as macro and nature photography.

When not working in practice, studying, or stalking animals with her camera, Kait enjoys spending time in the kitchen. She is a bit of an enigma in the kitchen. While she can whip up an entire Thanksgiving feast she will burn frozen pizzas at the drop of a hat. Kait also enjoys read and writing and is a huge fan of sarcasm.

Kait lives somewhere near the middle of nowhere with her boyfriend and the hellcat, Skeeter.

My Style

I love color and texture. My photos tend to be saturated with color and I usually overlay textures and patterns. I also take photos of the darker things in life. I like garbage whether it is literal garbage on the side of the road or the "garbage" of society (drug users, homeless, etc). I find beauty in odd places everyday. For most, this is not the usual cup of tea, but I hope someone out there enjoys it just a little. If not, no biggie, I take photos for me first and worry about the desires of others later.
