Some of these photos are work related. The rest are photos I took while meandering around various parts of the world - mostly the Midwest and the West Coast.

Besides photography, I also play jazz and blues guitar and am a movie fanatic. In addition, I enjoy riding my bicycle, though I'm not one of those folks who wear jerseys and race. I'm not that coordinated. But I mention this because it explains why there are a scattering of photos of bicycles throughout my collection. The photos I take usually are of people on the street or of events that I find of interest. Very few of my photos are "staged" and most were taken at public events. Unfortunately, some of the events that I have photographed are considered to be "offensive" to people and sometimes include such themes as civil rights, ethnic equality, and religious freedom - things that some people just don't believe should be allowed in this country. As a result, some of my photos have been labeled as "restricted" by Flickr because of complaints from homophobes, zealots and those who would like to rewrite the Constitution. Not my choice, but it is unfortunately the world we live in, one that is increasingly run by bullies.
