"Inklake" comes from a collection of short stories edited by Michael Ondaatje, called "From Ink Lake".

Using a Canon EOS 10D and a Lumix LX1 (Leica) point and shoot for its excellent 28mm lens and range of format options (4:3, 3:2 and 16:9). A fair number of my earlier photos are from a $200 Olympus point-and-shoot I won in a 50/50 draw.

I shoot a lot of video and learned photography using a Nikon FM2 film camera. I'm here to learn lots more.

Sometimes I'll give suggestions, but for the most part I just like to admire people's creativity. The act of taking a photo means one more person just thought about where they live, what they see and how they're going to find a way to express it.

Every photographer leaves a little imprint of himself/herself in their photography – some call it ‘photographer DNA’; and I’m not sure that I can come up with a better term to describe what I’d like to describe about Kevin’s photography. That DNA here is a pure heart. These images are reflections of someone who sees the world with affection, and that radiates through – no matter if he shoots nature, people, or things. And I like to see more of that in the world – keep them coming, Kevin!
