Ingetje Tadros was born in Holland and now lives in Broome Australia. In her formative years, Ingetje constantly documented life and people around her. Ingetje extended her photographic practice by combining her passion to travel with photography. Leaving Holland to travel globally Ingetje has photographed exhaustively in scores of countries.
She is the recipient of several of photography’s most significant awards. A short list includes the International Loupe Awards (AUS), Black and White Spider Awards (USA), PX3 Competition (Paris), The Juliet Margaret Cameron Award for Women 2013 (UK) and the International Portrait Awards 2013 (USA).
Currently, Ingetje works as a documentary photographer based in Broome on Australia’s vast, beautiful, wild and unforgiving West coast. She works regularly on assignment for some of the world’s most prestigious online and print magazines. Her clients have included, Australian Geographic, The Australian, The Internationalist, News Corp, Getty Images and many more.
Tadros, ethos is rooted in social documentary photography and being a storyteller. Her ongoing documentary photography involves interacting closely in other people’s lives; firstly to tell their stories at a community level and then to provide a conduit for communication between different cultures on a global platform.
She occupies a significant place upon the landscape of photography in Australia and internationally. Her creative vision has been the catalyst for authoring several documentary projects as diverse as leprosy in India to trans-sexuality in Asia and death rituals in Egypt.
Ingetje’s ongoing recent and important work involves documenting the complexities of race and culture of Australia’s indigenous people – the Aboriginals.
Ingetje moved in 2019 to NEW ZEALAND.

I am not normally one to be awed by celebrity. I could care less about any movie star and so on. Yet I must say that I do feel a little awed by Ingetje. Her, her work, her photography, her life all seem the stuff that dreams are made from. Her world is so large and encompasses places I will only ever see in pictures. Mind you now, I would not exchange my life, such as it is with any one else's. There are qualities of my life that are precious beyond belief. This all being said, Ingetje does inspire me. She inspires me to make my small corner of the world better and to photograph my little world more creatively. I believe that she will be a huge inspiration to my daughter as well. My daughter is very intelligent and beautiful. When my daughter sees Ingetje’s work I think that it will be a great example to her of what a smart beautiful woman can do in this world. Ingetje’s images really bring home how precious and beautiful humanity is throughout the world.

If you think Ingetje is just only a photographer, then you are wrong. She is also a good human being. I think blend of these two things made her a wonderful photographer. She knows who she captures and tells the viewer something important about every life. Her photos allow me to virtually travel to parts of the world I hope to get to one day. Wish one day I shall work with her in the remote part of the world where she always love to shoot.

A picture will always tell a thousand words. And was just through her images that I knew Ingetje few days ago. I can already tell a lot about her, without fear of deceiving me: she's always in the right place (she's dedicated), at the right time (she's an observer) with the correct technique (she's trained and experienced). Coincidence! What defines a good professional, who is really good at it! Ingetje, your photos are very special. Your work shows us your personality, and with that we look at what you actually engaged, the bent of your character, a pure and admirable person. It's easy to see through your pics that you do everything with the heart. You put your soul in your photos and I love it! To you all the luck in the world, mostly in your projects!

While browsing through Ingetje Tadros collection of photography, I stumbled upon a photograph that really blew me away, called Women in Arms. I felt certain photographs dont need any awards, since they simply go beyond that. Her work truly shows her love and dedication towards photography and reminds me of another great photographer James Nachtwey. Thank you for sharing.
