I am relatively new to DSLR photography (July 2012) although I have enjoyed taking pics via a point & shoot for many, many years. Taking pictures somehow motivates me to go out even when I otherwise wouldn't (e.g. in winter).

Still have a lot to learn but I am absolutely determined to get really good at it. I personally favor landscapes, nature, flowers, etc. and the occasional animals here and there. I like people too, but don't have the opportunity as often and am also uncomfortable shooting people in public; even when they intrigue me (privacy and all that ...)
