Ivan Vanderbyl started his adventures with photography using cheap black and white film and borrowed cameras, sharing time in his schools dark room until he had mastered almost all effects he could think of which he had used in PhotoShop in the digital world.

In 2004 he borrowed his first digital camera, which he took some of the early work you see here.

Today, I use a Nikon D300 with an extensive selection of lenses, filters and control devices to help capture exactly what no one else sees. I one day plans to travel the world as a photographic journalist documenting sights which the western world rarely sees.
