Hi, I’m Imran Mansuri. I was born and brought up in the historic walled city of Ahmedabad, India. Along the way, I went to a prestigious school of Architecture at CEPT University, Ahmedabad, where I got exposed to a man-made built environment around us, architecture. I got the opportunity to travel and experience various cities in India and its vibrant & diverse culture. In the beginning, I developed a fascination with the field of photography to document the trips and part of the historical structures that I visited. Over time, the process of documenting the historical structure turned into a hobby of exploring the cultural landscape and built-environment around us through the eye of the lens.

Then I ended up where I am now, the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico. While pursuing a Master of Landscape Architecture & Historic preservation program at the University of New Mexico, I got the opportunity to explore the cultural landscape and built-environment around the Midwest. Through the lens of my camera, I explored the diverse and vibrant cultures and ways of life ranging from Puebloan people to small historical towns with Hispanic influences.

I have been working in the field of Architecture and consider myself an amateur photographer. I’ve won a bunch of important and impressive awards for some of my work here in New Mexico and India. I would like to live in different cities, experience diverse cultures, explore the work of renowned architects, and historical architecture evolved without the help of architects!

Photography is my passion and the thing that undoubtedly drive me insane to travel and explore. I don’t photograph subjects. I photograph the way they make me feel, the way they create theatre around me and the way we keep changing the cultural landscape. It’s my interest and it’s the best way to describe my approach to the craft.
