I knew Hadie from her old blog and of course Flickr. I was so impressed with her writings as well as her photos. She is indeed a very 'rare' girl to be living in this small town like ours; very talented and smart. We have since become friends. One thing I learn from Hadie is that you dont need to have the state of the art device to produce something nice and beautiful. I know I can never be a good photographer by getting the latest DSLR. The only thing I need to do is to upgrade my skills and knowledge first before I deserve to get my dream new toy. Hadie is a proof that the high end gadget does not guarantee good and beautiful quality product. I wish I could have talent like her. :-)

Hadie is an inspiration to us all. With her compact camera she manages to capture images that look as though they were created on an expensive SLR. Her macro shots of insects, spiders, moths and butterflies are astonishing, and show a real love for photographing these tiny creatures. I look at them sometimes and wonder how she manages to achieve such clarity and detail. In addition, her photographs of Malaya and its people are very interesting and provide a deeply personal insight into life in a country so different to my own Northern European nation. Finally, her captions and comments are often very funny and brighten my day.

I am surprised, and pleased to have found Hadie, a fellow Malaysian, a young lady with an eye for great pictures.
