Catherine Crowe is an award winning enamel artist who works primarily in champlevé and grisaille. Catherine’s design inspiration also comes from Celtic culture, informed by independent research in archaeology, anthropology, folklore and myth. Her work comes from an historical continuum reaching into the past, but speaking to the present. Her interest in Irish culture does not end with the visual arts – she is also a fine traditional singer who has recorded to critically acclaimed albums (“This Ancient Fabric” and “Dark is the Colour”) and worked both on and back stage with the Toronto Irish Players through several productions. She also organises community arts/music events.
