My name is Jon Timmins. I am fortunate enough to spend considerable time in North Norfolk close to the sea. My passion for photography has come from a love of the elements, a love of being outdoors and, most of all, a love of being close to water which is the theme of nearly all of my favourite photographs whether taken by me or by others.

I believe that a photograph can be many things. It can simply be something stunning to look at in terms of composition, light, technique or all three. It can be true to life or abstract or an artistic interpretation. It can capture an event or occurrence, no matter how fleeting, or it can prompt the recall of a memory. It can tell a story or can evoke a feeling. More than anything, photography for me is a good excuse to get outdoors and explore new places which, frankly, is good for my wellbeing.

Anyway...I look forward to every outing with my camera aiming at most for a moment of magic or at least to learn something new and find inspiration for the next.
