illona is one of my favorite photographers. her dog shots are perfect moments that never fail to show the subject's true personality. she has an eye for colour, composition and has a way of connecting to the animal. more than just a photographer, illona is a wonderful person. she might say the f-word sometimes and she won't mince words but under it all she's a kind heart! her photostream is proof that she's a wonderful mom to her dogs, a talented photographer and a good friend. flickr is a better place because of her.

Passionate. That is the one word that I feel describes illona best. She is passionate about everything she does. Her photography, her writing, her friends, her pets, her raw feeding, her visual journal, her migraines, her use of e-collar and her humor . Her life shows a passion that I have admired ever since I met illona on flickr. Illona has inpired me, not only to become a better photographer and and see the world in a different way, but she has also helped me to get there. Illona is always ready to answer my questions and the questions others have asked about photography, techniques, and processing. I, too, go to illona’s photostream first when I check into flickr. Her photos make you laugh. They make you cry. They make you think. They make you angry and they make you care for the world around you.I love to find out what is new in her life and how her critters are. The creativity she exhibits when photographing animals is beyond amazing, and I want to be at least half as good as she is. Illona captures the essence of each animal that she photographs. She photographs animals from every angle imaginable with breath taking results. Her post processing is an art she has painstakingly mastered. illona's stream is one of those streams i check first when logging on. her animal pictures ROCK with warm wonderful colors and great composition. i have fallen in love with the soap opera of illona's pack and look forward to the next photo or video of morley, matea, meatguts and occasionally woody. they are a great family. I consider Illona to be a good flickr friend who is generous with comments, advice, and good vibes. She is also a great friend to animals. If i was a stray dog or cat i would have to turn up on her front porch because i would be well taken care of and loved...although i might get a funny name.
